Hey moms! It is vitally important to try and make some time for yourself. Mommy “me time” is the key to avoid burning out, losing yourselves, snapping or being just too tired that you cannot function. Being a healthier version of yourself includes being a happier version where you still feel like yourself. Your family will benefit from it as well.
Here is a list of a few me-time ideas for a little self-care for yourself:
- Get up early in the morning and spare some time relaxing with a cup of coffee while your kids are asleep
- Do some yoga or meditate, and find some time to work out in a day
- Go for a walk alone or a peaceful drive.
- Take a hot bath
- Watch your favorite TV shows or spend time on social media
- Do some arts and crafts, be it a sketch or DIY item
- Cook yourself a delicious meal of your choice and enjoy it with your favorite beverage and TV show
- Order a takeaway and enjoy your meal
- Go to a salon for a pedicure and manicure. Or get yourself a haircut or a massage.
- Go shopping
- Enjoy me-time in a peaceful and quiet corner of your home.
- Get yourself to read a book or a magazine of your choice
